Which is your "one and only"?

Not your "one and only" as in your husband... but your camera! I'm looking for a new point and shoot digital. I had heard a ton of great things about the Nikon Cool Pix... but when I was reading the reviews a lot of people apparently have issues with the battery door. So I started looking at these two:

Olympus VR-320 14 MP Digital Camera with Super-Wide 12.5x Zoom and 3.0-Inch LCD and Canon PowerShot SX150 IS 14.1 MP Digital Camera with 12x Wide-Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom with 3.0-Inch LCD (Black)
Olympus VR 320                                         Canon Powershot SX150

What do you all use? Has anyone ever used one of these before? I would love to hear your feedback! I'll mainly use them for family pictures, classroom, and blogging as well. Thanks!

Has this ever happened to you?

I was driving along the other day and was listening to my adorable children in the back seat playing with this:

We all know the joys of a Magna Doodle. Well, my son has been having a ton of fun writing his letters on his. So much fun that I think that his handwriting is really starting to improve!

It got me to thinking about how great these would be for the classroom. My plan is to get a class set for my students to use through out the year.. letters in the beginning, sight words in the middle, and sentences in the end.

The more I thought, the more wonderful it sounded. However, I discovered that this was not the most original thought ever (even if it does rock!). Lakeshore Learning Supplies has 'magic boards' that you can buy for this exact reason. You can buy them one at a time or even a set of 10. They even have over lays for different activities and skills that your students can use to practice.

Well, first thing first, I can't really afford to buy a class set of the adorable magic boards... soooooooo I created an account with Donor's Choose. I'm so hoping that my project gets funded! You can check it out here and maybe give a little if you feel called to do so :) I am super excited about getting a class set! I have 5 months to get it funded but I would love to have these by the beginning of the school year.

Have you ever had a project on Donor's Choose? I'd love to hear about it!

Spring Break Madness!!

That's right! I'm going crazy on Spring Break! Want to relive your youth? Check out the insanity going on here:

Monday- Pre-k registration
Tuesday- Pediatrician visit
Wednesday- Lunch with mom
Thursday- Haverty's technician visited to check out table
Friday- Plumbers pumped the septic tank.

RAISE THE ROOF!! WOO HOO!!! Are you feeling younger?

Hehehehe. Okay, so I've had a boring Spring Break, but it has been so relaxing. I have spent a ton of time on the couch, watching movies with the kids, playing, and scheming for next year. We won't have any para pros at all, so the more I can get done this year for next, the better. I'm currently waiting to see this outside my window:
