I am going to be reading and comparing several Gingerbread books next week. I love breaking the books down by characters, plot, setting, etc. There are so many different ideas that come from the kiddos!
Here are a couple of my favorites you might want to check out:
These are the best little books and my students love them year after year!
I also went to Michael's today and stocked up on some goodies for the week! I am going to bring on the crafty crafty in my room this week!
Gingerbread ornaments! I can NOT wait to break open this glitter glue!! (Can you tell with all the exclamation points?) I actually got the little packs of them for $0.47 since they were on sale 60% off. The little squeeze bottles of glitter glue were only $1.00 and a few cents.
Sticker writing just became a LOT more fun for my students. Wouldn't you like to do sticker writing with GLITTER gingerbread men and presents?! They are only allowed 2 stickers each story anyways, so they will get to use 1 of each. I'm thinking engagement level just went up!
This is for my last project- parent presents. I love making these adorable ornaments for my parents:
I made sure I got the paint pens this year to add all of the details.
My friend Greg over at Kindergarten Smorgasbord is also doing Gingerbread this week and he has some AWESOME freebies listed and linked to on his post today. Here are a couple of the gems:

Who doesn't love a new roll and cover?
(I think you know what to do at this point ;) )
On Friday, we will be celebrating with Polar Express day!!!
I can not wait for the hot chocolate and marshmallows! Plus, I might just be making some yummy gingerbread cookies for us to decorate on Friday.
What do you do around the holidays?
